Ceramic endoprostheses of upper extremities

Wrist joint

Two parts endoprosthesis

Design features are spherical head of distal part, ellipsoid cup of proximal part, riled surfaces in spongy contact areas.

Indications:

  • advanced arthritis
  • misalignments
  • degenerative arthritis
  • restrictive functionality
  • post-traumatic and iatrogenic arthritis
  • bone ankylosis
Radius head

One part endoprosthesis

Design features are special head shape, conical stem with longitudinal structural ribs for axial stability.

Indications:

  • acute, non-reconstructive radius head fracture
  • unstable fracture with collateral ligaments damage
  • pulled elbow
  • axial forearm instability
  • unstable fracture of the coronoid process of ulna
Ulna head

One part endoprosthesis

Two modifications are available.

Design features are longitudinal and transverse ribs on the stem. These ribs provide the primary stability of endoprosthesis.

Indications:

  • idiopathic arthritis of the radioulnar joint
  • post-traumatic arthritis of the radioulnar joint

Proximal interphalangeal joint

Two part endoprosthesis

Two stem modifications of distal and proximal parts — conical and oval — are available. Proximal part has special shape head with central groove that prevents rotational instability.

Indications:

  • idiopathic arthritis
  • post-traumatic arthritis
  • degenerative arthritis
  • bone ankylosis
  • misalignments

Metacarpophalangeal joint

Two part endoprosthesis

The design features are 12˚ inclination conical stem, macro- and microroughness spongiosa contact surface, head lateral cuts as well as a palmar cut of the cap edge at a 30˚ angle.

Indications:

  • idiopathic arthritis
  • post-traumatic arthritis
  • degenerative arthritis
  • post-infectious arthritis
  • bone ankylosis
  • misalignments

The first carpometacarpal joint

Two part endoprosthesis

The design features are 6° inclination conical stem, macro- and microroughness spongiosa contact surface.

Indications:

  • rhizarthrosis
  • CMC arthritis

The first carpometacarpal joint - HEMI

Two modifications are available

The design features are 12° inclination conical stem to prepare bone bed, riled surfaces for better contact with spongiosa and four longitude ribs for axial stability.

Key feature of the second modification is the 30° inclination.

Indications:

  • rhizarthrosis

Ceramic endoprostheses of low extremities

Metatarsophalangeal joint

Two part endoprosthesis

The design features are 6° inclination conical stem for bed preparation, riled surfaces for better contact with spongiosa, four longitude grooves for axial stability and dorsal displacement of the distal part stem.

Indications:

  • Hallux rigidus
  • Hallux-Rigido valgus
  • idiopathic and post-traumatic arthritis
  • degenerative arthritis
  • ankylose
  • uratic arthritis
  • revisions — Keller Brandes, Morbus Köhler
  • restoration of the metatarsal parabola

The 1th metatarsophalangeal joint

Two part endoprosthesis

The design features are 6° inclination elongated conical stems for bone bed preparation, riled surfaces for better contact with spongiosa, four longitude grooves for axial stability and dorsal displacement of the distal part stem.

Intended use cases — revisions, as well as

primary implantation if indicated.

Metatarsal head - HEMI

One part endoprosthesis

The design features are 12° inclination conical stem for bed preparation, riled surfaces for better contact with spongiosa, four longitude grooves for axial stability.

Indications:

  • Hallux rigidus
  • idiopathic and post-traumatic arthritis
  • degenerative arthritis
  • ankylose

Silicon endoprosthesis

Interphalangeal joint

One part endoprosthesis

Indicated for total interphalangeal joint replacement for joint mobility restoration.

Advantages

  • prebend shape of endoprosthesis facilitating its insertion into the bone canals and ensuring the physiological position of the fingers
  • anatomically neutral angle — 20° degree of flexion
  • possibility of joint replacement with damaged collateral ligaments to provide supporting function that increases diastasis between the adjacent of the end surfaces
  • minimal traumatization of the porous bone tissue

Indications

  • post-traumatic arthritis
  • degenerative arthritis
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • failure of salvage surgical procedures
  • subluxation or luxation of proximal phalanges
  • ankylosis because of closed and open fractures
  • unstable joint after primary traumatic defect, joint resection or arthroplasty

Metacarpophalangeal joint

One part endoprosthesis

Indicated for total metacarpophalangeal joint replacement for joint mobility restoration.

Advantages

  • prebend shape of endoprosthesis facilitating its insertion into the bone canals and ensuring the physiological position of the fingers
  • anatomically neutral angle — 30° degree of flexion
  • minimal traumatization of the porous bone tissue
  • increase in joint motion

Indications

  • post-traumatic arthritis
  • degenerative arthritis
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • failure of salvage surgical procedures
  • subluxation or luxation of proximal phalanges
  • ulnar finger deviation, persisting with active extension
  • X-ray picture of the articular ends of the metacarpal bones and proximal phalanges destruction — II and more degree according to Larsen
  • contracture and ankylosis at a functional disadvantage
  • functionally unprofitable arc of motion
  • ankylosis because of closed and open fractures
  • unstable joint after primary traumatic defect, joint resection or arthroplasty
